Maybe you are shooting to high? Lower level positions do exist on the national or even county level. “County man of leisure” doesn’t sound that great, but think of the experience that you are building while waiting for the bigger “international” or even “galactic” levels.

Maybe if you specify that leisure is to be pronounced the english way “lehzuhr,” they’d take you more seriously. I mean, if you sound international…
