I took advantage of Adrienne's family reunion to record a game of Lightning Reaction complete with Adrienne losing and getting shocked (that never happens).
I totally would have played but I had to hold the camera.

Many thanks to Jed for flash conversion of my huge video clip!

And I thought my family reunions were bad…

I’ve got a photo somewhere of Troy at the precise moment of the shock-that-made-his-daughter-cry-out-of-concern-for-her-daddy. Do you want it here?

Is that kid at the end of the clip, at the end of the table wearing a chefs hat? What kind of family is this that sits around playing games while the kids 10 and under have to cook the meals?

Adrienne’s cool attitude for the camera, downplaying the pain, really does little justice to how terrible that game is. You need to film someone in secret so they can scream like little girls when they get shocked.
You will never fool me into “playing” that instrument of Satan again.

I do think Hawthorne effect is responsible for the limited reaction to the pain of losing.
