A Pirate's Life
I am not a child America. I don’t need a biweekly allowance. From now on, I want my full year’s pay on January 1st. I am a grown up and you should treat me like one.
Also, I would prefer my year’s salary to be paid in gold coins. That has nothing to do with being a grown up, but it would make me feel like a pirate, and that is awesome.

Josh, I agree with the above, (except the Pirate thing) you should google Atlas Shrugged Ayn Rand. I like to think I am a well read guy, next to the King James version of the bible I have not found another novel as inspiring.

Josh you are so dillusional! I don’t dispute that you would like all your pay on Jan. 1st, but you and I both know you would just buy some giant toy (like a pirate shapped tree house) on Jan. 2nd.
You need your bi-weekly allowance.

Hey- my current situation has me on a weekly allowance. Feels weird after freelancing and using student loans for 4 years.
You could always do like one of my friends does: have ridiculous amounts witheld from your paychecks for taxes, and then you’ll get a massive refund. Only you’re getting paid 13 months later than your proposing here.

This is exactly why I continue to check posts here week after week. You crack me up.

So, I’ve been reading Amishrobot for a couple of years now, and just thought it was probably time that I made my presence known. I have thoroughly enjoyed reading your posts…they satisfy many of my amusement cravings. Thanks.

Um…lots and lots of gold coins. Yes, that sounds good to me.
