Today is the third anniversary

Today is the third anniversary of my open-heart surgery. I was just thinking of all the things I've done in these three years that I wouldn't have if they hadn't caught my condition in time.
I became a dad, bought my first house, hiked across England, went to New York (twice), graduated from college, got to show my art in some cool places, bought a sweet mini-van (jk), got to meet two new nephews and various friend's children, and got my first decent haircut. I went on my first run, visited Boston, St Paul, London, and LA, saw the Alice Neel and Lucien Freud shows, and I celebrated my 5th wedding anniversary.
Happy birthday aorta.

I love that little aorta!

I can't give it enough praise for keeping my brother alive.

We lived in Minneapolis not St. Paul, wait, were you talking about us, if you went to St. Paul and didn't call us, man Nova would be pissed. By the way, did we tell you Dasha is pregnant? Well if not, consider that your notice.

Sorry Rob, we did go through St. Paul as well though right?

I always forget, is it silverware or china for the aorta's 5th?

And you have the opportunity to come to Vancouver and hang out with some awesome people and do awesome stuff...that is if we're cool enough for your awesomely cool aorta. (Excuse me while I comfort my own awesomely cool yet outrageously jealous aorta).
