a pregnant pause
When Michelle was pregnant and teaching 3rd grade she had a "special" student in her class. Right before a 3 week break she told her class that she was pregnant and would be a bit bigger when they saw her again. When she came back one of the parents was waiting for her by the door. She wondered if her son (the special student) could come by before class to see her. It turns out that all during the break he had nightmares that Michelle was swelling to the size of the classroom and that there would be no room for him in class when he went back to school. He wanted to take a look and make sure she wasn't frighteningly large.
He continued to be obssessed with Michelle's pregnancy from that point on. He was always trying to touch her pregnant belly and every afternoon as he left the classroom he would sweetly say "I hope your baby doesn't die!" After a reprimand by another teacher he switched to "Have fun with your baby!"

That is one of the funniest things I have ever heard.

That's terrific, I must meet this kid. Sounds like the story that you'd hear about some future genius.
Reminded me of kindergarten, I asked my teacher if she was pregnant...she wasn't.
