My favorite thing on CNN.com is when they have the 7 year old critique kids books. It's excellent.

Very cute. I once asked jane why the horse in her drawing had a bow on it's head and she looked at me as only an indignant 4 yr old can and said "don't you know what birds look like?" I never asked her what something was again. I just asked her to tell me about her picture and hoped she never asked if I knew what it was. Besides, I have seen a horse with a bow on its head before (birthday pony rides) and have never seen one with a bird on its head. On it's back, yes. Head, no!
