Papa November Juke-Box

OK, someone gave me 90 free downloads, so I need some recommendations. Let’s hear ‘em! Top ten albums of last year? Favorite song of the moment? Guilty pleasures? Michelle already has enough ABBA to last us a lifetime, so forget about that one. How about

1- Favorite song to listen to while reading 2- Best song to listen to while running with the bulls in Pamplona 3- Your personal theme song (warning- it may become mine) 4- Song you wish was playing when you woke up in the morning 5- Song you have secretly choreographed an entire dance to. 6- Song your 10th grade self would chose 7- Most listened to track on your iPod

i don't like music anymore. but if i did, i would recommend getting the galaxie 500 peel sessions from emusic.

that doesn't fit your list. but a few that might:

personal theme song (if i still liked music): helicon 1, mogwai, from ten rapid

most listened-to on ipod: you only live once, the strokes, from first impressions of earth

most listened-to on ipod before i recently wiped it out: 55566688833, james figurine, from mistake mistake mistake mistake

i must apologize for forgetting something. a music that did get me excited recently was the album citrus by asobi seksu. their earlier eponymous album is also something to behold.

my top played right now is:

iTunes:
The Girl Who Stole the Eiffel Tower by Deathray Davies

Last.fm:
November by Azure Ray

Ok - going to the flashback list: grab a couple Lloyd Cole & the Commotions from Rattlesnakes album. Itunes review says:
One of the finest albums of the 80's...Rattlesnakes is a classic."

So grab something like Forest Fire, Perfect Skin, Are You Ready to be Hearthbroken

You probably already have this, but the best song for the running of the bulls is "Matador" by Los Fabulosos Cadillacs.

you can't go wrong with the melvins. my favorite is Eye Flys or really anything off Ozma or Gluey Porch treatments...or...ok... anything melvins.

Since I am currently against songs and for albums, here are some albums:

Damien Jurado--And Now That I'm In Your Shadow (he is from your neck of the woods)

Beirut--Gulag Orkestar / Lon Gisland EP (great eastern european folk inspired mayhem)

The Radio Dept.--Lesser Matters / Pulling Our Weight (the best band in Sweden, which is saying a lot)

Abecedarians--AB/CD (really hard to find LA band from the 80s)

And since I am lazy, here are some bands I have been listening too lately: The Twilight Sad, Kiss Me Deadly, Dirty on Purpose, Loveninjas, Sambassadeur, Joy Division, Emperor X
